The Policy applies to the Personal Information we collect when you join or renew your membership through the UTC Online Store or through a written membership application submitted by mail or collected at a club sponsored event. It also applies to information provided by everyone who signs up for UTC activities. “Personal Information” includes information in relation to you such as your full name, postal address, email address and telephone number. It also includes payment information such as limited credit card information. Finally, it includes requests to the Membership Chairman for changes of Personal Information. When other information (such member preferences) is directly associated with Personal Information, we also treat this other information as Personal.
We collect this information to:
To establish and maintain information for the membership master file.
To provide input to the UTC Membership Directory.
To provide input to the UTC Yahoo Groups List.
To record registration for UTC events and trips to determine member or non-member status for trip and event discounts as well as coordination for conducting these UTC events and trips.
Membership and event registration information is stored in the UTC Online Store online file and in a secure excel spreadsheet maintained by the Membership Chairman or Online Store Administrator. Those having access to this information include:
UTC Officers and selected Board Members.
UTC Membership Committee.
Online Store Assistant.
Limited information is also provided to:
Trip and event leaders.
Membership Directory Printer.
UTC Members through the annual Membership Directory (Name, and phone number and email as authorized by the member).
UTC does not sell or otherwise distribute member information to third parties for any purpose.
