We are heading back south for that ole suburb experience.

Sunday Spring V-Ball continues as we head south as follows:

Please register (I'm immediately notified) or text 303 829 2135 by Sat night 7:00 PM or sooner if you plan to attend. I will then update the group by 10:00 PM on Sat night to advise if we have enough players and if we are a go for Sun morning. See individual social responsibilities below in this e-mail.

We will locate on the west side of the field just a tad north of the kids playground near all the shade trees. The easiest place to park is at the South Suburban Ice Arena where you can take the west entrance into the park which is about a half block down the hill and then a quick left to our meeting area. This is directly across the field from the pavilion where the UTC Holiday parties were held.

If you are feeling healthy and fit, come on out for some nice afternoon V-Ball. Hand sanitizer is a recommended item to bring and use periodically throughout the evening. We will be limiting each net to 10 people so look for a net that has less then 10 people when you arrive. Please keep some social distancing when communicating on the sidelines. Please be patient as we organize the play and get everybody situated. We do plan to social distance the nets so they will be further apart then prior years. We plan to play until dark so you may come anytime during the evening. So, dust off them cob webs and come out for some great fun and exercise.

Since the weather looks good for Sun 3/28, we will plan on meeting at 11:30 AM. Look for our Yellow & Black Park & Sun Net and our Up The Creek Cardboard sign. Call me if you are lost on my cell phone # (303) 829-2135.

Pleasant Playing Conditions are in the forecast for Sun Afternoon out on the Green Grass Knoll with temps at 64 degrees.

Our Lost & Found Items for this season are as such:

Highly recommended items to bring are lawn chair, ball cap, suntan lotion, and bottled water.

Remember, this is 3 hit volleyball ( Bump, Set, Spike ) as oppose to Jungleball. We will train newcomers if they are not familiar with these skills..

Our goal is to satisfy all ability levels and get all interested players who show up involved in the action. If the turnout is light, of course it is okay to mix all types of ability levels on the same net. Like last year we would like to continue multiple nets for different ability levels. With 3 nets, we should be able to accommodate all ability levels assuming the turnout is large enough and varied as such:

Advanced Net - 3 Hit Volleyball ( Bump, Set, Spike ) at all times. This net would encompass those with proficient skills. Players in this category need to take the initiative to setup this net and make it happen. This net can consist of player teams ranging from 2 X 2, 3 X 3,and 4 X 4. Advanced players who have been playing for years are looking for this type of volleyball.

Intermediate Net - 3 Hit Volleyball ( Bump, Set, Spike ) recommended. This net would encompass those with average skills. Players in this category need to take the initiative to setup this net and make it happen.

Beginner Net - 3 Hit Volleyball ( Bump, Set, Spike ) recommended. This net would encompass those learning the skills. Players in this category need to take the initiative to setup this net and make it happen.

Courtesy Rules:

Call the score before each serve so that all players can hear.

After each play is over roll the ball back to the server on the ground gently.

If you interfere with the net by touching it with your body please say that you netted and the play will be dead and serve will go to the other team.

Kicking the ball over the net is allowed as long as it is a soft attempt out of desperation.

Net serves are only good when playing 4 X 4 or greater.

Come out to an awesome venue where the sights are plentiful and awesome V-Ball games await your participation !!! Most importantly, bring your Ferrets since they deserve open space and clean city air.

Let’s continue this great UTC Tradition !!! This has always been a lot of fun for Creekers over the years and we look forward to seeing you guys out on the green grassy knoll real soon for some "Good Ole Urban Fun" !!!
