5 Days & 4 Nights Ski Extravaganza at Crested Butte Resort. Lodging  at the Old Town Inn, Crested Butte.


TRIP INCLUDES:
  • 5 days and 4 nights stay at the Old Town Inn, located just a short free shuttle ride from the base of the mountain. Each room has 2 queen size beds.
  • Complimentary Thursday evening, March 16th, welcome Pizza Party at The Secret Stash, hosted by Up the Creek. We will provide pizza, salads, fruit, desert. Cash bar.
  • Complimentary continental breakfast each morning at the hotel.
  • Complimentary shuttle service to/from the mountain and town are included.
  • Price includes transportation from Denver to Crested Butte and back on our private Luxury Motor Coach, food, drinks & snacks will be provided on the trip. 
  • Fun and Leisure. When it comes to either, Crested Butte has it all. Shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.  Old Town Inn is walking distance to downtown, across the street from the Nordic Center. The mountain has plenty of green, blue, and black runs for all levels of skiers and boarders!

  • TRIP ITINERARY:
  • The Luxury Motor Coach: We meet the bus on Thursday March 16th,  at The Home Depot 3130 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver CO, 80227. We will be at the end of the parking lot furthest away from the store entrance. Departure is scheduled for 8:00 am, plan on arriving  at 7:30 am. It’s about a 4 hour drive to Crested Butte.  We will have breakfast food, burritos, yogurt, fruit, coffee, on the bus for the drive up; snacks, sandwiches, beer and wine for the trip back to Denver.

  • Check in time at the hotel is 4:00 pm. We will arrive in Crested Butte before that time, everything  must be unloaded from the bus. Most of our rooms will not be ready when we arrive so we will  store our stuff in the rooms that are available or by the front desk. Some people will want to ski,  or you can check out the town or hot tub!

  • Welcome Pizza Party at 4:30 pm at The Secret Stash Restaurant. They don’t take reservations but they know we are coming, will be in the downstairs room that opens at 4:00 pm.

  • Friday morning is a ski day! Meet just outside the door of the front desk at 8:30 am if you want to join Curtis and Rob to ski the blue cruisers! We will walk over to the shuttle, get to the mountain, pick up buddy passes for those that need them, get on the Red Lady lift. Lunch will be at the Paradise cafeteria at 12 noon, it’s mid mountain, right beside the Paradise lift. Back to the hotel for hot tub party at 3:00 pm, byob, no glass containers!    Optional group dinners are planned at 4 different restaurants.  Details are listed below.  

  • After dinner will go back to "Talk of the Town" for St. Patrick’s Day celebration!  Live music and dancing, wear your GREEN !

  • Saturday and Sunday mornings are ski days! Meet once again at 8:30 am to join the group, same as yesterday, lunch at 12 noon at Paradise.

  • Saturday Night, Optional Group Dinners are planned at 4 different restaurants. Details are listed below.

    • Sunday Night, Apres Ski/Dinner at "Butte 66", located at the ski area, by the Red Lady lift, 2nd floor of the Treasury Building. Everyone will order and pay for their own food & drink. 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

  • Monday March 20th. For the bus drive back to Denver: Room check out is at 10:00 am, The bus will arrive at the hotel at 10:00 am for loading, we will depart Crested Butte at 10:30 am. Stopping in Gunnison at Subway to pick up sandwiches for lunch. Back to the Home Depot meeting place 3:00 pm.

  • What to bring: Other than your ski gear, bring a bathing suit for the hot tub, nice clothes for the dinners. The bus will be full so pack smart and try not to bring a lot of extra stuff! There are small refrigerators in the rooms and there is a microwave in the lobby and an ice machine so you can bring a cooler for some food and beverages. There is also a grocery and liquor store on the other side of the parking lot from the hotel.

Cancellation Policy:
Up the Creek Ski and Recreation Club (“UTC”) has a No Refund Policy for events/trips/activities.

Exceptions to this policy are granted as follows:

[* Medical, injury or death]: A personal medical condition or injury to you with a doctor’s involvement; death in the immediate family (parents, siblings, children, grandparents, NOTE: pets DO NOT count). The registrant cancelling must be able to provide relevant documentation regarding the injury, medical condition or death to obtain a full cancellation refund;

[* The trip is cancelled]: In some circumstances a trip will be cancelled for all registrants. NOTE: If the venue cancels the trip then UTC must receive its refund from the venue before they can issue refunds.

[* Someone cancels for any other reason]: In this case an exception is granted ONLY if the cancelled spot is filled. In the case where a cancelled spot is filled, a $50 service charge is applied against the refund.

If you cancel in the seven days prior to the trip start date, you will only be eligible for a refund if the cancellation is due to injury/illness/death and you have provided the proper documentation to the Trip Leader.

You MUST go through your trip leader/host to cancel and seek reimbursement. If you meet the refund requirements, UTC will refund the credit card used for the trip/event payment for the amount that you paid minus any applicable service fee. Please allow up to thirty (30) days from the event/trip/activity end date for any refund checks, credit card refunds, or comps to be issued. Cancellations are typically processed in the order received.
