You will be canoeing the Colorado River near Grand Junction, Colorado, and setup camp along the river’s banks and exploring a deep box canyon that will leave you awed by the immensity of geologic time and the silence of the wilderness. This Colorado River canoe trip is 26 miles.
This spectacular canyon country of the Colorado Plateau, including Ruby and Horsethief Canyons, features majestic walls of red sandstone and offers some of the best canoeing in Colorado.

Bring your own tents and camping gear OR you can rent these supplies - All Meals, picnic lunched, drinks and happy hours by the river - Campfires BASIC AGENDA Friday, June 9th - 5 hr drive from Denver (we will chat about car-pooling) ...Optional camping/boondock at Rabbit Valley as a group or stay individually at a motel in Fruita, CO (not included in price) as we need to be at the put-in early in the morning at 7am. Saturday, June 10th - Everyone at the put-in site @ 7am for put-in and canoeing along the river into our camp-site for the evening. Sunday, June 11th - At campsite for fun, hiking, etc. Monday, June 12th - Canoe back out of campsite along the river to the pull - out site.
